Sun Longitude Formula
L☉ = L₀ + C − 0.00569 − 0.00478·sin(Ω)
Where: L₀ = geometric mean longitude, C = equation of center, Ω = longitude of ascending node. Accurate to ±0.01°.
Moon Longitude (30-Term)
L☽ = L′ + Σ(Cᵢ · sin(argument))
Where: L′ = mean longitude, summed over 30 perturbation terms from Meeus Table 47.A. Accurate to ±0.3°.
Ascendant Formula
ASC = atan2(cos(LST), −sin(LST)·cos(ε) − tan(φ)·sin(ε))
Where: LST = Local Sidereal Time, ε = obliquity of ecliptic (≈23.44°), φ = geographic latitude. Accurate to ±0.5°.
Local Sidereal Time
LST = GMST + λ
Where: GMST = Greenwich Mean Sidereal Time (Meeus ch.12), λ = observer's longitude in degrees.
Julian Date Conversion

How to Find Your Sun Sign
Your Sun sign is the most widely known part of your astrological profile. It is determined by where the Sun was in the ecliptic — the apparent path the Sun traces through the sky — on your date of birth. The ecliptic is divided into 12 equal 30° segments, each corresponding to a zodiac sign.
Sun Sign Formula
Sun Sign = floor(Sun Longitude / 30°)
Example: Sun at 199.99° → 199.99 / 30 = 6.66 → floor = 6 → Libra.
